Re: low beam headlights quit working
sorry I did not add that this is happening on a 1999 Beetle. I was driving and the low beams stopped working...?

Re: low beam headlights quit working
Every time I've had a New Beetle w/o headlights (particularly low beam as they are thr DRL also) it's the bulbs. I've seen new ones only last a few weeks too, they are very prone to burning out. Also, some people put in 100W or 60W bulbs instead of the recommended 55W which tends to make them shortlived. Are you positive you checked the correct bulbs?

Yes, I changed the bulbs and fuses myself yesterday night. I am thinking it might be the switch is bad to turn on and off the lights...? if you have any other ideas that would be great
