1 pic, no feedback, this looks very fishy.

mostly when something like this would come on sale it would be via a proper company, this guy looks very dodgy to me.

can anyone confirm the vin and chassis match?

I can - they do. This was Tom Meissner's green F1. He's the owner of GTR #11R, one of the orange LM copies.

Strange listing - again this seller could be a broker of sorts, just trying to get a cut if he's able to sell the car. The only thing I find really odd about the auction is that the seller is in London and the last known location on the car is Germany.

Also, "one of 55 left in the world" is not accurate. There were originally 64 production/customer road cars and I'm certain that 9 of them have not been destroyed or written off - I'm only aware of two actually. We can also confirm that at least 3 of the 5 XPs (XP3, XP4, XP5) are also still alive and kicking so I'm not certain how they arrived at that 55 figure.

Everything else looks legit, but again, I doubt this seller is truly in possession of the car.

Hello,

maybe, can we mail the original seller to inform him that some comics try to sell the car ?

Ciao

Hey Phil-
The only thing funny about the auction is the asking price.

£900,000 for a road car?? Are you kidding me??

He must figure its a deal in comparison to the silver F1 that sat inside the Park Lane showroom which McLaren is now asking a reported £1,000,000 for.

Re: McLaren F1 for sale at Ebay!

No feedback, not really a bunch of info and only 1 pic? I think people are going to need more information about what they're buying and who they're buying it from before they put that much money on the line.
