the hydro tranny would be better since hopefully it has less miles so hte syncros wont be gone, and theres more hydro trannys around then cable trannys now, but the hydro will cost more because you gotta buy that cable to hydro conversion from hasports

Re: Hydro or cable tranny?

Hydro. More expensive though, thats the other side of it.

Most old cable trannys grind because they're so old, and the shitty part about them is other than the USDM YS1 they can't be rebuilt because sourcing 11 year old parts from Japan is insane.

I really really really really would like to get the HAsport hydo-cable conversion and use a newer hydro tranny with an LSD...

I am aware of this, but the only USDM cable tranny with short enough gearing for the B16A is the YS1. The others are all LS trannys and have really long gears that would make a B16 quite slow, thats why I didn't mention them.

Re: Hydro or cable tranny?

ITR would probably be best. Real short gearing and LSD equipped.

SiR2 would be nice also though, some of them have LSDs..

I don't want an open differential anymore. Tire spin sucks and it kills you at the track.
My vote goes for an ITR tranny for U!
