Radio Receiver

[Tide C4]

I have a 1992 coupe with the bose audio system. Recently both rear speakers suddenly stopped working. There is no sound at all coming from both rear speakers, not even a hum, hiss, or pop. The shop manual and the chilton manual refer to the "radio receiver" located in the rear storage compartment. However, the is nothing in the rear storage compartment (even under the tray). I'm I looking in the wrong place, or is there some mix-up in the manual. Any thoughts on this and with the rear speakers???
