electrical problem need help
I have a 1994 tran sport I drove home and the air and power windows suddenly stoped working, I replaced the relay and It did not help I put it on a scanner and got a "QDM" failer. What is the qdm? I checked all fuses and fuseable links they were all good. I have no power to 1/3 of the fuse box. ING, BLOWER AND REAR BLOWER fuses have no power to them at all. the trans also wont shift in to low gear takes forever to get going. I jumped power from the aux post by the abs relay to the window air relay and got every thing to work except for the windows. Can anyone help? do I need a new ECM?

Sounds like you need a new ECM. MAKE SURE you keep the old MEM-CAL! Do not throw it away. If the MEM-CAL needs replacement you will need the numbers off of it. I had them same problem before and slowly things started failing (e.g. AC, cruise control, etc) before it gave completely out and functioned on "limp mode." Go to www.alldatadiy.com and register for online guide. It is great but cost $25 per year for first car and $15 after that. Trust me, it will save you tons of $$ and time. They have a lot of info and if your good and trouble shooting and reading electrical schematics, you can figure all the problems yourself. Good luck!

Re: electrical problem need help
I went through 3 ignition switches on my '92 Transport during its 256K mile life. The part of the switch that would go out handled the power windows and part of the tranny electronics. When I got my kids/me to only run one power window at a time, instead of 2 at once, the switch lasted and never failed again.
