96 manual transmission question
I have a 96 metro that has a 5 speed that needs replacing. Can anyone tell me which years will work. One guy said that the older ones will fit but have a different ratio. Any help would be appreciated.

Any manual metro/suzuki swift/pontiac firefly/chevy sprint from 1989-2001 will work. Exact same casing, and splines. They will have different gear ratios. A regular metro has 3.94:1 final drive, while a swift GT has a 4.11:1 final drive, and a geo metro convertible has a 4.39:1 final drive.
