97 Aurora A/C failure...electrical?
I am told there are 8 different electrical sensors that could impact AC function...are their any that fail consistently that I can test/replace?
My 97 was working fine with cold air...then, next day I am getting warm air...any ideas on a fix? System checks out with a strong charge...what next? Car has 155K miles, and I have done nothing but regular oil changes and maintenance. I am told the Cadillac Northstar has on board diagnostics for electrical sensors, but the Aurora doesn't. What do I look for? This car has been awesome and I would buy another one if/when this one dies...just want to keep it clean and in working order. Thanks in advance to all you Aurora experts/fans. |

Re: 97 Aurora A/C failure...electrical?
You will need to find someone who has an OBDII scanner with HVAC capabilities. They can scan the system and check the self diagnostics to determine if anything is showing a failure. W/O the scan, I do not believe you can check the system yourself.
What a pain - my 1990 Chevy had self diagnosis capabilities - can't believe the Aurora did not include this feature... |

All 95's are like that...not just the Aurora, its so easy with the OBDI you can use a paperclip :P

Check the A/C clutch hub it might be ka-poot. It might be engaged but not spinning the insides of the compressor.
