Re: Tpi Problems!!!!

hmm... well, i guess the only thing i can say is that while they were hacking up your car in frustration they damaged something else. also, they might have tried to hotwire the car and blown the fuel pump fuse, which is on the passenger side fender between the battery and coolant surge tank. in this case i really dont have enough information to make a diagnosis. if the engine is cranking, its not a vats problem. and test for spark, if youre getting spark, then your probly alright. so that leaves fuel because the pump isnt running, so that means you ahve to figure out why its not. that means testing the circuitry from the pump forward, or the fuseblock back. use either a 12V test light or a voltmeter, and with the ignition in the run position test the fuel pump fuse, fuel pump wiring, ignition circuitry so onand so forth. it might just be coincidence that the fuel pump went out durring all this, or they might have blown it trying to steal it. im guessing they cut some wires somewhere, and tried to hotwire the car, or cut some wires somewhere, so either they fried something, or somewhere there is a break in the circuitry that is keeping power from getting to the fuel pump.

Re: Tpi Problems!!!!

Where abouts was the fuel pump fuse you checked?? I was changing my fuel filter and wanted to release the pressure so I took out the fuse and tried to start it. The fuse that said fuel was in the fuse panel and I took it out but it only made the car run on like half the cylinders. Then I find a little black fuse block thing behind my passenger side headlights and that was the right one. Is that the one your checking??
