Got pulled over tonight...

Well, I got pulled over for no reason tonight. Driving down the street, I saw a car with it brights coming up behind me really fast, about a half mile away, and somehow I just new it was a cop. So I go ahead and go to make a right hand turn, no signal and didn't quite come to a complete stop at the stop sign. So about 15 seconds later, the lights come and and I get pulled over. He sits there for about 30 secs with the lights flashing and the projector light on my car and pulls up next to me.

He says he pulled me over for not signalling and not completing the stop. This was crap because he had his sights set on me about a fifth of a mile before I got to the stop sign. He then asked me who the car was registered to and told me to have a nice night.

No ticket and he was polite, but damn what a hassle. Not to mention raising my pulse for a couple minutes

But you admit you failed to do both things, legit reasons for being pulled over. I wonder what he would have said if you did come to a complete stop AND signal???

A similar thing happend to me in my fiance's car, I saw some headlights in the rear view coming up FAST while I was passing a semi on the freeway. So I changed lanes as I passed the semi, to let the "speeder" go by. Well I didnt use my blinker, and it was a cop. He pulled me over for failing to signal. Lucky me, I didnt get a citation once I illustrated how I was mearly getting out of his way. Cops can be funny sometimes...gotta respect that.

Do you have any aftermarket lights? Cop's are attracted to those just like doughnuts. I remember about a week back a cop cut 3 lanes to get behind me and type my plate into his comp at a stop light. Then he continues to stalk me for another few min's until I park my car in a garage. When I walk out the popo's sitting out there waiting for me. Guess he thought I was going to just go in and come out with my car. But I learned my leason and took the aftermarket bulb out of my licence plate light. Im not going to take out my Piaa's though.

We have a lot of ricers flying down my street, so cops tend to sit there quite often. Probably saw my headlights and foglights and figured I was trouble. Oh well, no harm done. Just gave me a little startle.

Now-adays, you can't do too much to you car cosmetically without having the feeling your gonna get pulled over just b/c you modded your car. I'll make sure to keep a big box of do-nuts so I can get off the hook. Pigs.

first, if you knew it was a cop, why did you not come to a complete stop or use your blinker? he probably wouldn't even have pulled you over at all if you hadn't done that.

second, you didn't get a ticket, so what's the big deal?
