89' blazer light problems! emergency!!
i have a 89' chevy blazer and the tail lights and dashboard lights do not work. i put in a new fuse but it blew immediately! i took it to be fixed so i can pass the state inspection and he put a new fuse in and it worked fine. he jiggled the wires and messed with everything and it stayed on. however, 2 weeks later, the fuse blew and its doing the exact same thing it did before. dashboard and tail lights are not working and stuck with the same problem as i had before. please help and give me any ideas please about wats wrong

Do your front lights work?

I had a similar problem with my 85. It ended up being a bad ground. Check all of the wires that go to your lights and make sure none of them are bare and touching metal.

my front lights do work and they work fine. its just that one fuse for the dashboard and tail lights that keep messing up. i do have a feeling that it is the wiring but not sure

Re: 89' blazer light problems! emergency!!
I got my blazer from a cat that had serious electrical issues. turns out the wiring harness under the driver side carpet...where your heels always are, was worn through and shorted whenever you had your feet just so....look there first

Unplug the headlight switch and look at the moulded plug for any burned areas. It might just be the switch or the wiring.
