srt-4, Can anyone help me convince my wife.......

When I had my 95 neon, I couldn't get my wife to drive it for the life of me!!! Ever since we got the srt-4, I can't keep her from driving it. The only problem is convincing her that the turbo upgrades don't void the warrenty, so she doesn't want me to get them. Can anyone point me in the right direction with some proof that the s2 doesn't void the warrenty? And has anyone heard when the s3 comes out? Maybe I'll just hold out for that since it has all the s2 parts.......

stg 2 will not void the car's warranty...the parts themselves have no warranty.

oh and i think stg3 should be out towards the end of june.

tisk tisk you should never do anything behind your wife's back...she will just be more furious when she finds out what you have been keeping from her...and she WILL find out sooner or later...just let me talk to her, i'll get her to love the mods!

I know, I know, the first step to a successful marrage is honesty. I know she will love the mods, cause she already loves the car. She plays with it often even though she doesn't truly know how to drive it yet. She hasn't been driving a manual long. I guess I will probably have to call the dealership, find out just what is what(if they tell me the truth) and tell her. *sigh* the things we do for our cars.......

If you ask the dealership, they will tell you that anything that changes the original performance of the engine voids the warranty. However, mods that are done by the dealership are usually covered, but the parts have to be made by Mopar. If your wife likes speed, then there is no need to convince her. The upgrades will speak for themselves.

too bad stage 3 hasnt even been thought of yet....maybe he got stage two but even then s-2 is only about a 20 hp gain...

Sorry friend, but the s3 hasn't come out yet. It's not due till the end of this month or next month. I read over the warrenty information the other day(we finally got it in the mail). My understanding is that if the dealer intalls it, it doesn't void the warrenty. But there was another clause in there that confused me. Anything that is not recommended by the manufacturer will void it. It seems to me that since POV built the srt-4, that most anything mopar will not void it. I am planning on doing some more research on that, like trying to write to the pov team or dodge themselves to get a written conformation, then keep it on file if and when anything does happen...... I'll try to keep y'all updated on that.

Hello, First time in this forum. About the wife thing I think you should just say "its my money and my car ill do what the hell i want with it". And if she does not want to drive it tell her to get a taxi.
