I have a 1991 silverado w/5.7L and after startup it will run for about ten seconds then sputter and die. Upon attempting to start again, it only turns over, occasionally firing but won't run. Just returned from 400 mile trip, ran excellent the whole time, recently changed cap, rotor, plugs, wires, belt and fuel filter. Any help would be appreciated.

Don't go throwing parts at this unnessacarily. First start with the simple things. You need Fuel, Air, and Spark for combustion. When this is happening, you need to check for these things. First crank the motor over and let it die as you say it does. dump some gas in the throttle body and crank it, if it fires and burns the gas out then dies, I would bet $100 on the fuel pump. Mine on my Silverado just up and died after a long trip!
