...only the HF has an egr valve...what engine are you talking about?

I got a 1989 civic hatch with a D16z6/89 integra ECU. It's throwin code 9(No 1 cylinder pos.) and 12(EGR Valve). It's got that wierd studder when i hit a certin speeds in each gear(15mph 1st)(30 2nd)(45 3rd)(55 4th) and(75 5th).I read on here the studder is the distributor.I timed it and the no 1 piston is in aline but the code stays even after reseting the ECU.I got a PM7 ECU in the mail,im hopeing it will tell me different but i doubt it. If anyone knows please help me,im desperate..lol thanks (p.s)ECU code 43 is missing automatic tranny.

you should only have an EGR valve if you have an automatic engine ... so if your running a stick then you dont have one.

thus running the code. Im guessing you dont since you mentioned that code 43 is missing auto tranny ...


what you really need to find is a ECU from a stick rather then an auto tranny and that will help you with all your problems. that will probly solve your studder as well ...
