Unhappy Power Door Locks

My 2000 Intrigue recently developed a bad habit of intermittently refusing to lock its doors electronically. They always unlock, but only lock about 1/2 of the time. This is slowly getting worse. Has anyone out there had or heard of this problem? Sound like the BCM?

Nobody has had this problem?? I tried replacing the hazard switch after hearing that was the problem from someone else but either it didn't solve the problem or the new switch went bad too. I am trying to sell this thing and now this problem has resurfaced.

Is it the same for the lock switches in the car as well as the remote controls?

Yes. Alldatadiy.com lists a troubleshooting algorithm for the car and they indicate that when "always locks, doesn't unlock" to check the 180 circuit - the red and black wires between both front door switches and the BCM. I haven't found a wiring issue so I am thinking that leaves only the BCM. Maybe.
