Arrow Subs/Headunit question

Can anyone help me out. I just bought a 2003 Eclipse and want to put the system I took out of my other car into it. My question is ... Is it possible to connect the subs and amp to the stock headunit? If so how would I go about doing this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Subs/Headunit question

yah fucking right your able to dog. Just hook up an amp to your stock system and run a cross over from that shit to another amp to your subs, boom problems solved, Or you can splice the wires from the feeds from your unit going to yoru speakers and put them to the amp. But yeah man with stock head unit I believe you just put the wires going from the speakers to the unit into an amp then splice that off to another amp to your subs. might be a cheaper way but hell this shits off the top of my head.

Yes it is possible to connect your amp and subs to your factory head unit. I did it on my eclipse but wouldnt recommend it because you won't have all of the full setting functions to say if you installed a new cd receiver. I would go ahead and purchases a new head unit and connect the rest to it. It'll be better in the long run

Re: Subs/Headunit question

i have two tens hooked up to my factory speakers. I went to the local audio store and they were able to install everything for only $60. The part was like 30 and they dropped it down to 20 and installed the rest for 40 bucks! I think that my subs sound great! My amp really helps that out though
