Question No headlights/dash lights

Just purchased a 94 SE w/2.3L auto. Has 103K. Old battery was completely dead, installed new battery and car runs ok. Can get r ts to work and not left. No headlights, dash lights, no emergency flashers. I notice that if I wiggle the TS switch, some times the TS work. This makes me think I could have a problem in the column switch. I am relutant to start tearing into the column, since it has an air bag. Any help greatly appreciated. Also, I have read some adverse comments on the 2.3L by some forum members. What is wrong with this engine. With the current price of gas, the 4 seems like a good program. I am not in a hurry and this in not a streer racer!!!

Re: No headlights/dash lights

We have the same problem with our 1994 Pontiac Grand Am 2.3L
The high beam and low beam selector is somewhat messed up. If I select the high beam then select the low beam then the low beam does not light up anymore. I have to move the level forward and backwards a couple of times but slowly then the low beam lights back on. I never use the high beam at all so I won't have to mess with the lever again

We did have problem with the turn signal not working but I just replaced the Turn Signal Flasher (round metal) and that fixed the turn signal and it was cheap anyways. I think there is a separate flasher for the hazard lights.
