Re: boost gauge problems

I have a similiar problem with my boost gauge, sometimes ,well most of the time, when i start my car the gauge reads 0 but when i start building boost it reads it just fine but it dosnt drop to show VAC, but a few mins later it will drop to the correct VAC and work fine. Any ideas of what could be wrong.

What kind of boost gauge is it? How is hooked up now? Is it a straight boost gauge or a boost/Vacuum gauge? What line did you tap for the gauge?

Re: boost gauge problems

Its a 52mm electronic greddy boost gauge. I don't know the diff between boost and bst/vac, i tapped the line that it shows on prostreets website.

Re: boost gauge problems

If it is an elec, you could have a voltage issue.

Re: boost gauge problems

I will tell ya where the wires are going, most of them are going to the lighter...black one to the black wire with silver dots, the orange one to the blue wire, the white one to the green wire with white stripe, and then the red one is going to the red wire off the light that is built into the console to show that there is an alarm...that little red light

i have that same 'occurance'. i would say it happens less often, but if i give the car a little gas as soon as it gets a good turnover it is eliminated. i have also found no adverse problems with it running like that either. i also have the ProfecII that has a built in boost gauge and it reads the same as the gauge when it does that. it's strange to say the least...

as far as the this thread, make sure you have the correct line tapped for the gauge.
