want to get internals rebuilt ?????
hey i have a second generation b16a jdm, i want to know what pistons to get taht are reliable for like 11.5:1 compression, i want to be able to have a dependable daily driven car. also if i increase the compression from 10.4 to 11.5 or so maybe a little less, do i need to upgrade my connecting rods? and do i need to upgrade the crank, or streghten the block? about how much would pistons cost? and rods if i need them? also about how much to get a motor balanced and assembled with the new setup? and how much gains should i expect from just upgrading the compression? thanks

Re: want to get internals rebuilt ?????
you can get yourself some Civic type R pistons would raise your comperssion around that level, but id suggest to do the valvetrain also while you are there. connecting rods and crank dont need to be touched as the b16 stock is mighty strong to begin with. As far as cost to put them in, shouldnt be more than 200 bux or so at your local machine shop, but as for the gains i wish i could tell ya, but im not really sure.
