I'm buying a TSI AWD w/ 70,000 miles and it's manual tranny already blew once. :-/

Of course he was pushing an excess of 400whp. So I dunno exactly if thats a good sign or not...

Re: Transmission Problem with 95-99 Eclipse

A working W5M33 transmission has no problems. This should answer your question, but is half obvious by nature. If the question is do they break easily, then no, but having AWD and abusing it WILL break your transmission/differential/transfer case.

Re: Transmission Problem with 95-99 Eclipse

seriously, those kind of general questions are unanswerable. both transmissions are perfectly fine.

Re: Transmission Problem with 95-99 Eclipse

My brother works for mitsubishi, and there are no NT tranny problems I am aware of. Just a couple rebuilds here and there on high mileage cars (~150k)
