exhaust question

the other day i saw a civic with duel exhaust...i was wondering if this adds much more hp and if it was really worth the cost, i am getting an exhaust for a civic and i didnt know if it was just for looks for what (car was decked out for show)

also my parents hate loud cars so i was looking through my jcwsportscompact mag and on page 57 there is an arospeed exhaust control valves and it adjusts the sound ofthe car... i dont know what anyone thinks about this or if any one has used it, i know exactly what it does but would that decrease the sound? or just the tone....
get at me

thanks charlie

Re: exhaust question

Dual exhausts on 4-bangers are for show only. Period.

Unless of course his car is putting down like 600 hp. Well if you are looking for a quiet one, I just saw this one called DUNK Megaphone, and it is pretty quiet and souds really nice. I have never herd of it, but it was one of the best sounding exhausts I have herd yet. I am not a fan of loud exhausts either, and this one had a sweet deep quiet sound. Sounds really nice at high RPM's also!

Although I have seen them cheaper. And if you've never heard of RS R, they make some great products. Not too long ago in this site, someone was talking about it, saying how quiet it was and how effective it was. Gave it a great review. I have a Thermal R&D that is pretty quiet (for aftermarket) and has a nice deep tone.

Re: exhaust question

Well I did a little research and just found out that the Dunk Megaphone is a Apexi exhaust, so you know it is good. It is called the Apexi Dunk series. It is probably the best sounding one I have herd yet. Nice deep, and quiet untill you get on it of course. Good gains too.
