Anyone's automatic shift up and down at 1500??
First off hello everyone.
Just got my first import, 98 spyder gs with automatic trans. When keeping the rpm around 1500 while holding speed at 25mph or 40mph my transmission doesn't know which gear to be in it keeps going in and out of overdrive gear. Is this normal or a problem??? |

I believe my spyder is a little higher at 40, but yes, if you hold the speed there for a period of time, it kicks in and out of overdrive. Just make sure you have overdrive off if you mind that little annoyance, and turn it on when moving at highway speeds.
BTW, your "import" is made in Illinois.

It is still considered a import because it was a domestic companies idea to make such a beautiful car...this is a perfect example with the 3rd gen eclipses
