What is the diffrence between reg. and Z71?

what compnents are diffrent between the Z71 and the regular truck? isnt it like a 2" diffrence. Also are suspension lift kits metered from the regular height or Z71 height?

I have heard that the only difference between them is two or three inches either from bigger tires or some cheap lift, and different shocks. I may be wrong.

The difference in the z71 and 4x4 is standard skid plates, bilstein shocks, and stiffer springs. You can get the skid plates and springs on the 4x4 as options, but the bilstein shocks are not available
