94 Caravan not charging/not alternator/HELP!!
  
My Caravan died along the roadside. I knew it could be the alternator, but figured a battery would cost as much as a wrecker. An hour (and a new battery) later, AutoZone said it was the alternator. After quite a few hours of wrangling with the alternator, including dropping the exhaust from the manifold to get the old #@($&*@)$* out) and get the new one in, I am STILL not charging. Voltage regulator? Short somewhere? Is the voltage regulator the little black box that bolts up to the back of the alternator?
94 Grand Caravan 3.3L Automatic.
