1g traga top

has anyone ever seen a i 1g with a targa top or heard of it beenin done my sunroof is messin up and i thought that i would try and do a targa top bc i think they are awsome. i have seen the done on the 2g but not any done on the 1g. if anyone has any info on it that would b alot of help. thankx

It would be way tougher to do on a 1G because the doors have frames around the windows, and the 2G's dont

Cutting the top greatly reduces stiffness of your car which can cause poor handling, especially during cornering. You'll also develop rattles and shutters and the value of the car will more than likely decrease. The 1g was never designed to be a convertible or targa so it doesn't have the neccessary reinforcements in place such as the 2g Spyder to keep the car from falling apart.

Neither does a 2G hard top. If you do it, do it right, but still pretty much impossible IMO on a 1G. But look at Dre's 2G, very nice job done, if anything it would have increased the value, due to there being very few of them around.

well i seen it done on here http://www.eclipse-targa.de/ and i thought that i would ask sum people if they have ever seen it done but i think im going to do it in the end tho
