Air Vent Lights

Yes, brand new, 287 miles, four days of ownership, and my first of what I'm sure will be many problems with my Jetta. I've got an appt. for this silly question but I thought maybe somebody had the quick fix.

Stupid problem: The red lights in the dash on the air vents are not working anymore. All the lights work on the wheel, locks, windows, mirrors, center dash, etc, but on the left, two middle, and right air vents, they don't light up anymore. I checked all the fuses but couldn't seem to find anything wrong... Any suggestions?

take it in to ur dealer or look at sum reviews online others prolly had the same problem

Well, it's probably just a bulb or something. I've got an appt. tomorrow morning...I'll be dam*ed if I'm giving them one penny though!

So I took in the car...turns out...the lights on the vents don't light up...they are clearly lit up on images I have seen online and even in the Jetta brochure at the dealership...but the little pics next to the vent are clearly painted white where as the other stuff on the dash is more of a translucent...plus the tech took apart the dash and there wasn't even a wire or bulb back there so...oh well...I thought they were on when I got it but I must have been smokin' the chiba!
