bmw test drive...

i just need to vent. i took time off work to go to the BMW ultimate drive. basically i spent the day sampling various bmw's. every mile i drive they donate a dollar to breast cancer.

while i'm there i took the 645 out for a spin. i get back with it and this big fat cow of a woman with the ugliest kids i've ever seen is there waiting for it. as the coordinator is explaing the car, i get out and walk up just in time to here her rudely and ingnorantly say at the top of her her lungs, "WAIT, WAIT, WAIT! How can a 6 be as good as a 7 when 7 is a higher number?!" the bmw enthusiats there looked like there were gonna kill her and i think i felt some of my brain cells die.

oh, to keep it related to 240sx's. after i took the 330 performance package out, i got back in my 240sx and realized i like my 'ole s13 better.

you mean between my 240sx and the 330 performance?

my 240sx: tanabe gf210 springs, and tokico hp struts.
the 330 performance: what do i really have to say?

the 330 handled like a dream (not the best handling car i've drive tho, it had nothing on the 350 track or evo) but my 240 sx weighs less and handles real well too. its a tough call. i'm sure the 330 statistically has better handling but it wouldn't take much for my 240 to rival it.

the thing i noticed is, i'm 5'7" so a japanese car is designed to suit me better than a german car. all in all, i'd rather have a heavily modded 240sx for the weekends and a bimmer to drive to work. got 3 semesters to go, i'll be looking at lease returns.

Re: bmw test drive...

I attended the test drive in ATL and we were allowed to go to city streets, I took the 330 coupe, my brother took the wagon with the sports pacage also, and my dad the 745, we were racing with my brother when out of nowhere here comes my dad comes flying past us at 105mpg, I had never seen my dad race in a long time. I tried to pull a powerslide and can you belive the Traction control system was so advanced I couldnt even drift, I was fucking pissed. One of the guys who worked there said in another state some one actually broke the axles on the 5series, how is that possible on a stock car? and also the other 5 had a wreck so we were pissed cuz we only got to drive the 6cyl.
Oh by the way, I've owned my S14 for the last six months, and I've never driven a 240, so sad may be when I am done with my project one of you guys will let me drive yours and that way I can know how much better or worse I have made mine?????????

Re: bmw test drive...

my friend has a 330 w/ aftermarket intake and exhaust. it accelerated really well and cornered amazingly. still, if i had enuf for a luxury sport sedan, i'd go after the infiniti g35.
