Re: transmition problems?
Is it a grinding? If so a lot of people have complained about it (although I don't have it so you'll have to talk to someone who has it). Some dealers fix.
What intake? Short/V2 or Cold? What header? Race or Shorty? Regardless, they should warranty it because they can only void it if it caused a problem, however, a header or intake can't mess up the tranny. Although, they might be a bit unhappy if you have a CAI or race header, but I doubt that'll cause them to void it. Good luck, and I think it'll be all good for ya! |

Re: transmition problems?
well no it's not a grind... that happens on third gear from time to time. I just couldnt get it in gear , it was like stuck.
I got the rd injen intake and the 4-2-1 dc header. |

Re: transmition problems?
Ok, a cold air and a shorty. The header shouldn't cause any problems with warranty, and unless you hydrolock (get the filter submered in water) the car, there shouldn't be any warranty problems.
As for not getting in gear, i'm not really sure.... |

Re: transmition problems?
It might be the clutch, but don't take my word on that...

Re: transmition problems?
Yeah- the grind everyone is complaining about is most prevalent in 2nd-3d. I've had the problem youre describing in my Mustang. Usually just let my foot up off the clutch slightly and it drops right in.

Re: transmition problems?
Yeah, I had a neon that had the same problem. If there is no grinding, your shifter bushings might be shot. Just check inside your engine, locate the end of the shifter cable and look at the bushings(usually rubber pieces connecting to the shift lever). Then check the ends of the cables inside your car under your shifter. This will require you to take the center panel off.
If it's not that, I don't know what it is. Man, I couldn't remember who I lent that CD to! I don't know why RSX-S777 gave it to you to borrow since it's mine!

Re: transmition problems?
Yup. Mazda has spies at tracks and they void warranties immediately, and if you own a Mitsu EVO and post race times on the internet, they'll get you for that.
It's amazing. They want you to take it to the track, but when you do they punish you. |
