Unhappy idk what the problem is!!!!!

I am having a problem with my 91 turbo when i start from a stand still it starts moving very slow then i try to give it more gas then it starts to go quicker but then my tires spin and i still dont go also if i am going say like 50mph then i try to accel. then it just seems like im reving and my car does not go at all like this beast should . I was thinking it was my clutch/flywheel but idk so i thought i would some experts on mr2s thanks

If your rpms climb rapidly, but your car does move rapidly it very well could be your clutch. Hwover, if your clutch is going, you would not be able to spin your tires.

well the rpms do climb rapidly and the car doesn't move the it seems i can get the clutch to grab then thats when the tires start to slip b/c i at so high rpms when it does finally grab
