Scratch when I bought my G
First off, it was my fault for not noticing this scratch when I initially bought my G. It's not much of a problem really, as I can get it taken care of without having to spend too much (which I will do in the Spring). As you can tell, the people working at the dealership did a bad touchup job on the problem area.
Question is, what do you think the previous owner did to cause such a scratch/dent? I am figuring the previous owner didn't know how to park.

Man that sucks ass:zx11pisse
Thats a pretty common scratch. Most likely from one of a few things: 1: Previous owner couldn't jugde distance in parking lot (pole or another car) 2:The asshole who parked next to him couldn't 3:The asshole who parks cars @ the dealership couldn't (tight spacing) You get my drift! Hope it comes out! How long ago did you buy it? Did you try to buff it out? Peace! f-bomb!:smoker2: |

dont think you could buff it out, it looks like the paint is stratched a bit and dented it. that sucks, ya seems like someone brushed the side with his car or he backed sideways into a pole.

I bought the car in August of 2001. There are some other odd scratches on the car as well from the previous owner. I'm going to have the bodyshop that painted my front lip take care of the problem.
It just amazes me how some people treat their cars. And I'm sure the previous owner, instead of shelling out money to fix the problems he/she caused, decided it would be easier to just sell the car and buy a new one.

Luke,
Looks like the scratch took out the paint completely and skinned the carban fiber. I have similiar problems, except a lot smaller, on my P11 due to my stupidity. Needless to say, the fix-up might require some sanding job, brushing and repaint. It's not going to be cheap! The second option the dealer (if you bring it in to them) is to completely replace the bumper with a new one. Either way, estimate cost would be around $200 to $350!

Most likely from a bit of *touch parking*.
With all the imports we get in NZ it is a common problem and it's caused by them jamming so many cars on to the boat. Mine had the same marks when it came off the boat and was fixed by having to respray the bumpers before i brought it.
