the fast and the furious

i would like to say that I tought that The Fast and The Furious was a very good movie. But I think that they should have had more Volkswagens in it because Japaneese cars aren't the only ones that you can make into street racers. I am building a 1974 superbeetle that i would be willing to take up against anyone of the Hondas in the movie.

ill take my slightly moded honda (that is sitting in a gargage doing nothing) up against your 'super' beetle from 1974 anyday.. you do realize how bad of an idea it is to spend money on a car that, if taken over 100, would just break, it has no aerodynamics to it, it wont win shit against any decient honda (i know there arnt many, but there are some, and i have one)

(did u know the origional beetle was designed by porsche in the 1st place?)

Bettle

Owning a VW, I'm of course an VW enthusiast, I've read a few articles, and recall a Superbettle with 2.0 VR6 Motorswap, New Turbo, and NOS'ed to the tits. There were a shit load of other mod's I just can't remember... The thing ended up making like 700 Hp or something!

So buddy with the Honda! Unless thats the VENOM CIVIC! You ain't beaten no SUPERbettle!

Your right!!! Anything that you can do to a Honda you can do to a VW. I'm going to build a chopped Superbeetle with a supercharged chevy 350 in the back seat with a corvette 6 speed. I would like to see a honda beat that!!!!

I couldn't agree more. Not only have more VWs but other brands as well. Most of the cars were Asian cars hardly any domestics and hardly anyother imports.

It would have been realy nice to see other cars than Hondas. I know that you can get almost 500hp out of a VR6 with turbos.

If they want real drag cars then they need to look at some of the classics. Like the 1967 Camero Z28 302 it has like 500hp. Or a 1967 Shelby mustang 500. My dads brother has one and my dad said he drove it once and you would be doing 140 before you even knew it. Granted theses two would kick my bugs butt it would still be fun to go up against one.

I felt that the movie did not have enough domestic super beasts in it. I would have loved to see an older Corvette spank one of the imports in the movie. I can however see why they didnt; the hole movie was about the import sceen.

There was that Jetta man, and Honda is what started the import scene her in the states, so that is what we are going to see the most off. I thought that that movie had a nice array of different cars in it. I thought there was more Nissan that Honda in the movie anyway. To those who wanted more domestic cars, go to a differnt movie, the whole idea of the movie was imports and the scene surrounding them.

i only think there should have been more domestics cuz every time ive been to a real import street race there are domestics there as well. i was thinking like not any more domestics in main rolls (cuz like u said it IS an import movie) but they should have had like an arch-enemy race crew who drove only domestics or something like that, or just more of em in the background.
