Angry Ouch Fing Ouch!

Okay, it is difficult to actually type this, and hard to walk but i figured its worth a share. I flipped my ATV over today, and I am in extreme pain..

I was riding my ATV (2000 Yamaha Blaster) today I wasnt pushih it particularly hard today either, but it still decided to flip me over. I have a track in my backyard, it has 2 main straight aways, with a big jump. (Okay, lets start at the far side corner; it has a short straight away, enough speed to gain right before the jump, about 200 feet infront of the jump is my pool, so i have a light curve around the pool, and inbetween a small tree then down the main straight away, make a hair pin turn around the log and back down the main straight, then go around the tree and pool, down another main staright into another hair pin, into a minor straight, and hit the jump again) I had gone around this "track" dozens of times, and had no problems what-so-ever. About on the 8th lap of today, going around the minor curve by the pool, i decide the throw the rear out, (i've done this many-a-time) i position my body so im on the opposite side thats its being thrown about 50 ft before the curve, and give it full throttle, next thing i know, i got a perfect drift going, then my right rear catches something, and flips me over, at top RMPS in 5th gear (out of 6), sends me doing multiple barrel rolls, sending me into oblivia. I couldnt hear, and i couldnt see for about 20 minutes after. About an hour and a half after the wreck, i go to the doctors office to get an x-ray, nothing broken, just extremely painful.

Stats on my ATV:
2000 Yamaha Blaster 250
-FMF Fatty Pipe
-FMF Power Core Exhaust
-2 inch spacers
-Wider rear tires

I dont know the condition of it right now, about 15 minutes after the wreck, it finally got flipped over, all i remember see was it get tossed about like a toy. Its still in the back yard, I still have to muster up the strength to get it back in the garage.

Re: Ouch Fing Ouch!

ouch, i feel your pain man, sorta. i have a 350cc 6 speed warrior. and i flipped it one time doin donuts. i was on a dirt patch surrounded by grass doin my donuts and the right rear tire caught grass and got traction making the front of the bike pop up while the left rear tire was still spinning freely. this resulted in the right side of the bike to pop up on me and to keep it from rolling over on me i kicked myself off the bike and pushed the bike into a safe landing and causing myself to roll 10 yards in the other direction. at least i think that's how it happened, kinda hard to recall, regardless i was hurtin bad. the bike was fine. it was actually still in first gear, rolling away so i had to get myself up and run from behind and jump on it like a cowboy (well i didn't have to, but i had some adrenaline pumping) the part that sucked most was i was a whole week into quitting smoking cigarettes and i was so shook by the accident i started up again.

don't you hate that unexpected traction during a calculated slide? that shit can be killer.

Re: Ouch Fing Ouch!

yea, thats happened to me..kinda. Coming out up a hill, i was in too high of a gear, so i shift down and give it full throttle, the bike gets too much traction making me do a wheelie up hill. Luckily i didnt fall back, but i know the feeling. Yeah, i had some wicked donuts going yesterday, i was in 2nd gear, and it just stalls midway, causing the wheels to luck up-a quite abrupt stop.
