A/C Question
I'm trying to give my car a shot of R-12. However, I can't get the compressor to cycle. I tried unplugging the connector on the line by the condensor and jumping the two terminals, however the fan turns on but not the compressor. Is there another connector somewher that I have to jump?
Thanks |

Re: A/C Question
Try disconnecting the battery for a minute.

Re: A/C Question
use a test light and check the connector on the compressor to see if you are getting power, the compressor clutch may be bad.

Check the electrical connector on the compressor. This is for the clutch. Also check the fuses for the A/C system. Good luck

Re: A/C Question
If you are low on R-12 the computer stores a code. Disconnecting the battery will clear the code long enough for the comp to come on and suck the R-12 out of the can.
Do what bustedratchet suggested.
