Question 99 Civic EX - B18C Swap.. Questions???

I'm planning on doing a swap in a 99 Ex Civic.

I want to get a JDM B18C.

What are the details I need to pay attention too in ordering a motor?

I know the motor has to be OBD2? Right?

Does it have to be a 99 B18C???

If I get a 96 B18C motor, it will be OBD1 right? All I need to do is get a OBD2 ECU?

I'm a little lost about this OBD1 and OBD2 deal?
Can anyone tell me the difference between the 2 motors, and which yeah JDM motors are which??

Thanks in Advance!

DK

i believe u have to get the same year or newer motor as your car for it to be legal. jdm motors dont have the last character like usdm motors have. a usdm type r motor is b18c5 while jdm is b18c
