I am writing to help my friend find out what is wrong with his car. He has a 1991 Buick Regal 3.1. He just replaced the engine and after he replaced it everything works but the fan. They think they have it narrowed down to a computer problem because a relay is bad inside the computer that goes to the fan. They are just wanting to know if anyone else has had this problem, has a wiring diagram for a 1991 regal, or have any suggestions before they replace the computer.
Thanks! |

Being that the car is this old you may wish to buy a universal relay (about $10) and wire the fan via the relay to an accessory output on the fusebox. Some of the outputs are controled by the key switch. This way the fan would come on anytime the engine is running. This is commonly done here in Florida; due to the heat the fans are always on and burn relays rather often. Good Luck.
