intake(little newb)
i heard that your not really supposed to drive a car with a cold air intake, because water can get into you intake, which could get into your engine and do some serious damage(scoring, same kinda when you put water in your oil, lol).

That is why a little thing called a bypass adapter was invented. It is a small divider type device that you place on your intake tubing which helps keep moisture out of the intake tube.

Re: intake(little newb)
those things are prettymuch useless unless you're driving through puddles over 8" deep... you won't suck in enough water to hydrolock your engine unless your intake is completely submerged.. if cai's were so dangerous.. would that many people be using them?

Re: intake(little newb)
yea the odds of much water getting into your intake is next to none. the only times ive seen a problem is when i go 4 wheelin in my uncles jeep. we flooded it once. lol. unless you go through lilttle creeks or huge puddles, you will be fine.
