Quick tip: cast aluminum

On cars there are many, many metallic surfaces we are charged as modellers to replicate on plastic with paint. One of these surfaces is a cast aluminum, common on intake and air routing parts like intake pipes, manifolds, intercoolers and the like. To very simply and convincingly make a cast aluminum surface, spray the metal part with Testors Metallic Silver, then shoot it with their Model Master Lusterless (Flat) lacquer overcoat (also: Dullcote). This makes a very convincing color and texture, and takes very little time and effort.

This also works well with Testors Aluminum Metalizer followed by a flat over coat . . . very realistic cast aluminum

No he doesn't really have 200,000 post. Some one higher up is messing with is post count. He really has 2,000 something.

is there any alclad in spray can??? the only alclad range i can get hold is the canned one, with this screw top. it says, it must b used with an airbrush, which i dun hav.

Alclad II is starting to be produced in a rattle can. Its hard to find though.
