Question Removal of converters

I have a 97 z71 350 which currently has true dual with 2 flowmaster 40 seris. To get a lil more grumble out of it i am considering removing the converters shortly after inspection this summer. however i know this may create a loss of backpressure and therefore rob me of precious hp. any thoughts?

Re: Removal of converters

I think you will be fine as long as you install an h pipe after removing the cats.

Re: Removal of converters

don't worry about it you may lose a littlle on the low end or put on high flow cats (random tech, or other high performance)
