swap or rebuild????
My 87 toyota supra has about 137000 miles on it and needs all the internal gaskets (head, valve, etc.) replaced. I was thinking it was gonna cost just as much to replace those seals as to putting a jspec motor it. What do ya suggest I do, since im on a tight budget. About a 1500 range.

Re: swap or rebuild????
The cheaper/easier route will be to buy a JDM 7m, doing it right will almost always cost more. If you get a low milage 7m and retorque the head bolts it should give you years of trouble free running, can't always tell though. Just remember you get what you pay for, so don't go and buy the cheapest JDM 7m you find, expect to pay around $650-700 for a good 7m-gte. A HG only swap (rebuilding the head and not the block) should run you $400-500 depending on what work you get done and where, a full rebuild is almost $1K.
