Lay a piece of cardboard over the holes on your old bumper and trace around the holes onto the cardboard, now cut off the excess cardboard on the back side of the bumper (the side that the holes are closest to). Now you should be able to take that cardboard and line it up on your new bumper and then you will know where to drill the holes.

Is your kit fiberglass?
Installing a kit is not hard at all ... I did mine with a handheld drill and a drillbit ... Make sure all the holes are correctly lined up before you drill ... and when you do drill, make sure you leave enough room from the hole to the edge because fiberglass cracks and chips easy if you don't drill clean ... USE A SHARP DRILL BIT for a clean hole!! ... very important ... good luck ...

I believe that you can patch it up with fiberglass sheets ... the process I'm not familiar with but I know you can fix the mistake ... do it carefully and you won't have to worry about mistakes ....

Easier if you mark the holes then drill first ... most vehicles once you have the kit put in place there will be no way of putting a drill from beneath and drilling ... there are ways to mark holes VERY accuately ...
