Exhaust....

i been reading a few exhaust posts on here lately and see alot of people suggesting the flowmaster as a stock replacement crossflow muffler. I just want to let everybody know that the flowmaster is one of the worst flowing aftermarket crossflow mufflers. it is better than stock, but that is not saying much. The Magnaflow and the Spin Tech are probably trhe best crossflows out there. I admit, the flowmaster sounds great but flows crappy. I had the American Thunder on my car for years (with a cutout for extra power) when it was a bolt on car. I would never believe anything about it being a crappy muffler. When I put the 383 in the car i could feel the muffler holding me back when the cutout was closed. I put a 3" single in-single out spintech on there and they kinked the shit out of the tailpipe and it still felt like a night and day difference over the flowmaster!

Get the flowmaster if you like the sound, but if you are loking for performance look at another muffler.

If you look at the Magnaflow close, it is really a single inlet on on side and a dual outlet on the other, One pipe exits out on the left, the other pipe wraps around the back of the muffler and exit on the right.

This design could be duplicated with any of the better Flowmaster mufflers.
