shaved door handle kit advice needed on solenoids

Been looking at the shaved door handle kits. Theres solenoids going from 15lb to 100lb. Some sites say the higher rating the better, 100lb is too high but I was looking at 50lb being a good rating, however one site I contacted said that 35lb wasnt suitable for imports and I should go lower rating. Ive got a jap import 2.2 vtec (1993) and I can t see why the doors would be any different than say a uk or US model. Its got me really confused, I dont wanna get a kit where the solenoids arent strong enough to last for everyday use, on the other hand I dont wanna get a kit where the solenoids damage my door or something.

Any advice really appreciated.

Re: shaved door handle kit advice needed on solenoids

All the solinoid does is pop the door open right?
if thats the case, you could probebly go with 35lbs, its not like it actuelly takes 35lbs to just pop your door open, im sure you wont have to worry about damaging your door cuz all it does it pop it open..think of how hard it is to open your door and that might give you better idea....hope this helps.
