J30 Engine swap!

apologize for my ignorance but couldnt find the suitable answer from search.

Question:

How plausible/feasible is TwinTurbo'd J30?
Will the 300zx engine fit in US-spec J30? ive read several opinions and they pretty much contradict each other.

Im willing to do whatever it takes, just needed confirmation if it was indeed possible- i saw someone comment on how you had to move battery/oilpan.. then the swap is ez..?

wouldnt work man... You've gotta think compession ratio...

10.5:1. For the VG30DE
8.5:1 for VG30DETT

Turbo's would not handle that power.

Other difference's still exist, cam angle, head thickness, oil pan, etc etc.

And plus, its still the same basic block, so there wouldnt be any size difference in the engine bay.

Now... I can get the VG30DETT clip for you no problem. My company is just getting on its feet, but make no mistake: I will get you the clip, as fast, and as efficiently as possible!

For the Twin Turbo 5speed clip, $3,000
For the Twin Turbo Auto clip, $2,500

All clips include VG30DETT engine, transmission of choice, EFI Wiring harness, ECU/M, and all the brackets, mounts, and basically everything that would be on the front of car normally. If you are interested... Call me at 910 612 0425. Thanks.

Clip is the Whole front half of the car.

i.e they take a plasma cutter, and "chop" the car in half.

Automatic Twin Turbo is $2,500
Manual Twin Turbo is $3,000

Im not so sure why it's hard to believe. Not catch deal.

my fault for the long reply, didnt have time. was gonna call, once again no time. wasnt tryin to show you up, was laughing cause ive tried pretty hard to research this, and everything came out sh*tty, just figured thered have to be a gimmick.

so basically youre saying i can chuck you 2500, get someone to put the other half on, and ala i got a tt j30? where do i sign up? ^_^

Ok just found this again... You know the J30 in Japan is TT right?

yah, japanese TT j30 - i had assumed the motor wouldnt fit into us-spec j30's engine bay, but since its the whole clip, kinda solves that problem lolz.

im just wondering now , which car will be faster, evo8 or TTj30? of course it depends on mods, but 340hp awd vs 400hp rwd....

cmon man, i cant wait to upgrade the daily driver keke

of course it's possible to do the swap. i'm having mine done at this very moment. the motor in the infiniti is the exact same as the stock non-turbo in the 300zx. theres a few things you have to do, none that make it expensive or infeesible. the exhaust is the biggest issue for the swap. i dont know about relocating a battery or an oil pump or what have you, but those two things arent nearly big enough to worry about. good luck man.

Ok, I own a J30 too. I don't really want to get rid of the engine, because if I can turbo it, isn't that something that I can just do? I mean, what all do I need in order to turbo this engine? What parts need to be changed in order to NOT break parts off in this engine? Someone on the forums write back, please....
