Great thanks,
I had another question and I think Ill keep the boards free and just post it here first. My cars been havin some problems starting and I get a code 16. I tested the injectors for power and they were not getting any. Everything else was going fine, then I shut the car off for a few mins after giving up and then decided to try again and it the car ran, You think its loose wires maybe bad ground somewhere??

Re: Tach

Could be loose wire or bad ground.
Did you hear the fuel pump cycle? If not your main relay is going bad - replace ASAP

Thanks. The site has good information, Hopefully I can get out and look at it today. I just bought my 91 HB 2 days ago and have a few problems to fix. Trying to get a new hood headlight and windshield cause it hit a deer, damn Kansas lol. It runs good, Just has that starting problem and has a this problem where Its really tough to turn the steering wheel when the car is not moving, maybe powers steering? and a clicking noise when turning forgot the direction, CV joint, boot, axle? I came from driving a 91 Mitsu Eclipse Turbo and these problem are insignificant to the problems I had with that lol. Hehe Anyways thanks for the help.

Re: Tach

clicking could be cv joints/boots. somebody help me out here, but aren't all 4gens manual steering? I believe that makes it a little harder to cut the wheel when still. Carefully popping the clutch slightly helps (especially in K-turns) good luck...

nah man, their are lots of 4th gens with power steering. If you dont have power steering, it will be pretty hard to turn the wheel when the car isnt moving. Putting more air in your front tires (if their soft at all) will help it turn a bit easier. And yes, the clicking is almost definitly your cv joint. Get that replaced, its not too expensive and they should take your old axle as a core.

Re: Tach

Yea P/S was an option, just not on Si's. On the drivers side of engine, behind headlight area would be a p/s pump if there is p/s also a fluid res. Clicking noise most likely a bad CV joint, you can get reman. axles for about $65.00 per side.

Should I get my Mech to do this sorta job on the CV Joints or is it simple enough for me to do it myself. I can do minor stuff around here but dont really have powertools and the such, College Budget =P

Also where ya buy the remans from?

Re: Tach

Axles are simple to replace if you have the right tools. The biggest problem is removing the axles nuts, at the shop we use a 3/4" impact with 750lb ft & that even struggles some times. You can find how-to replaces in the manual - http://www.binghamtonlife.com/manual/2gsm/default.htm
