what is white metal?

...well I know that's it is used for models but what other uses does it have? What other industry works with it?

Well, besides modelling...the only other industry that comes to mind is the miniature industry, role playing games, historical and such.

I believe white metal is a generic term referring metals with varying amounts of pewter, someone correct me if i am wrong

White metal can also be used for bearings in certain industrial applications.

Actually Dag, white metal refers to metals with varying amounts of lead, aluminium, magnesium and zinc.
