Re: best lowering springs

Talk to jackasssi if you have to, he is very knowledgeable on suspensions. If i had to trust one person on here for a suspension related topic I would probably trust him.

Re: Re: best lowering springs

H&R springs are the best for the $$$$
Don't expect just to throw springs on & have a decent ride. You will need upgraded struts to control your increased springs rates - ALL lowering springs have increased springs rates. Stay above 1.75" of lowering or ride qaulity will be greatly affected. Ya it will go around corners like hell but how about when your driving 50 miles on a straight highway. It sure aint fun I'll tell ya that.

H&R
Eibach
Neuspeed

So if i dropped my car 2" and put on some good struts, the ride is still going to be crappy on the highway. How could I get the best of both worlds?

Re: best lowering springs

I got Arospeed coilovers for $150 from JCW shipped free 2 years ago. Got stock struts, front lowered about 2.25" and rear about 2" with stock sized 14x5s and I rally on dirt roads... fastest I've gone was 50+mph on dirt road in 4th gear with nice control. I doubt you'll ever do that but I just wanted to give you some idea. My struts are pretty much shot now, but I hardly ever bottom out. Also, even with a bad back I look forward to driving more and more, anywhere/everywhere. It all depends on how much money you want to spend my friend. Peace.

Re: best lowering springs

I have nuespeed race spring's they ride decent but i cant say with the stock struts, the only reason i got them was because i sold my hatch and said i would throw in the cheap ass coilovers that were on the car and it rode like ass it rides a hell of alot better with the springs but struts would deff help!

do it right get springs and struts!

Re: best lowering springs

I have air cylinders, and they ride pretty rough at 120psi :X. But hey, i love it when im drivin down the grocery store way, lower the car then PSHHHHHH everyone hears a big air rush sound... hehe, u get many looks. Ahh my dad has this GMC pickup truck, thats the size of a big tractor truck right, it runs on air bags (not fast bags) and i forget what its called, but he has where the exhaust psi is put into the brake system, and it blows air, really loud, tight as hell... woah sorry way off topic

Re: Re: best lowering springs

2" lowering on good struts will be a very tight ride, not what I consider comfortable. Best of both worlds - True coilovers like H&R, Tein, etc.

Suspension is one thing worth spending the money on.
