01' Magna is dead....Kinda

I have, as I am sure you can see by now, a 2001 750 Magna. Yesterday I rode it to work, then from there to a gas station and then about 30 miles to school. All the way there...no prob. When I went to leave school, I turned the key on and then presed the start....nothing. No click no nothing. Then I noticed no headlight either. I tried to jump it but even with a solid 12V hooked to it, still no head light. So I decided to do the ol', "pop the clutch". Well on the second try, it started. So I had to haul ass home cause at this point is was 7pm and the sun was about down. Still no headlight. I got home and shut her off...then tried again. Still the same. Electrical power to everything but the headlight and no start. Any ideas guys?

Battery is new. And connections to it are good. Next item?

Headlight still was not on and still no start with the battery hooked up or even after I replaced it.

You check your voltage regulator? Do a charging system test.

I'd check fuses. Sounds like the same story as a friend of mine had recently.

Check the main fuse, and check the kill switch.
I've been working on V4 Hondas for the past 5 years, rebuilding the motors, hotrodding the motors(try a nitrous powered V4 :-)
I have kevlar clutch packs, DOT approved braided brake hoses, I do brake work on them, tune ups, maintenance(valve adjusts)and carry power commanders in stock for them.
I work for a company called DRP.
My personal ride is a 1983 V65 Magna, stage 4 race engine with NOS system.
