A/C blowing fuses

First time post. If anyone can help I sure need it.

I have a '97 achieva and when it is idling in netural the A/C works great but the minute I put the car in drive it blows the fuse for the A/C, plus the abs light comes on and I have to use the over ride button for the gear shift until I change the fuse.

Does anyone have a clue?
