Personally I don't like the old 3.1/2.8 enignes. However I really do like the new 3400 engines, and the 3800, but that is beside the point. If they are taken care of they will be great engines.

I just bought a 91-2.2 litre rs/standard and it's been running great aside from the clutch acting up from time to time, but a month into having the car the engine dumped out all the oil while on the highway and i did'nt notice untill the enging started clunking like a mother focker and i went home and let it sit overnight.
The next day i refilled the oil and now there is no leak, but now im putting in another used engine cause the running dry of the engine cause a connecting rod or bearing problem or BOTH. Not sure, but it sounds so bad that i think a rod might come through the block one day?? |
