Ok, here is the deal. I pulled into work this morning, shut off my truck (1991 4Runner V6) and the heater fan kept on running. Also, the steering wheel wouldn't lock and the head light warning buzzer didn't work. So, does this sound like the ignition switch is bad? If so, how does someone go about getting that thing out of there!
I had to disconnect the battery cable in order to shut the thing off. Does anyone know where the fuse is for the heater fan? I checked under the hood, but no fuse in there shuts it off. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!! Jim |

Re: 91 4Runner - heater fan stays on
To remove the ignition switch, try inserting the key, turning it to ACC, and pulling out.

Just to let anyone know, I found the problem. I located the fuses for the fan behind the glove box. You have to remove the glove box to get at them, but it's only five screws. The fan relays are located there as well. The fuses were fine, but one of the fan relays was all corroded and basically shot. Replaced the fan relay and everything went back to normal. By the way, both fan relays are the same on the 91 4Runner, so you could swap them out if you needed too.
