Header And Obd2 Check Engine Light!!

Hello all,

In recent studies I have discovered that the hotshot header, although having openings for all oxygen sensors and such, still trips the OBDII code 70 for primary catalytic converter failure. Is this true??? It does make sense after all....no cat=sensor code. If this is true, is there a way around this. NY smog is a B****!!! I really need to try to keep this car street legal at all costs, at least until I can find a decent inspection shop that I can pay off. ( my last one got caught and lost his liscense)

I was thinking this... Greg from BRM pretty much works with you with everything, couldnt I plug up the lower O2 sensor hole, and relocate the lower sensor to be placed after the catalytic converter underneath the car?? Im sure Greg would weld an O2 sensor mount in there a few inches past the cat that is under the car. Do you guys think this would aleviate this problem???

Or better yet... can anyone even CONFIRM that the use of the headers trips the code??

THANX!!
